Health Information Technology in the age of COVID-19

With COVID-19 dominating the headlines for the past two years and now, the foreseeable future, there’s no question that health IT is at the top of the President’s agenda. As a country, we’ve gone from telehealth systems that hovered at the margins of society to a virtual, cloud-based economy. From cloud-enabled collaboration to interoperability challenges, data visualization to artificial intelligence, Americans have embraced technology in all its emerging forms. SARS-Co-V2 has changed the world and the way we navigate through it.

How NITAAC benefits federal clients

As the momentum of change continues, the National Institutes of Health Information Technology Acquisition and Assessment Center (NITAAC) and its Contract Holders are uniquely poised to help. Our three Best in Class (BIC) Government-Wide Acquisition Contracts (GWACs) for information technology products, services and solutions can be used by any federal agency, civilian or DOD, and are backed by a fast, flexible online system, e-GOS, for the fastest competition and awards.

NITAAC has pre-screened and pre-qualified its Contract Holders to assure they have health IT expertise for over 25 years. They’ve faced contractual tasks like those currently required in CIO-SP3 and CIO-SP3 Small Business, Task Area1: IT Services for Biomedical Research, Health Sciences and Healthcare. And, while some of the technologies we represent are health specific, most are of such a general nature that it makes sense for us to offer them to all of our federal clients.
