Health IT (HIT) Standards and Interoperability Specifications Harmonization is one component of a larger HIT Standards and Interoperability Framework run from within the Office of the National Coordinator for Health IT. This framework embodies a sustainable set of tools and processes that facilitates HIT standards adoption and increases HIT interoperability. Deloitte is responsible for providing the subject matter expertise needed to identify, analyze, and harmonize the HIT standards and interoperability specifications identified as priorities by ONC leadership (e.g. those necessary for interoperable exchange of information related to Transitions of Care, Laboratory Reporting, Provider Directories, and Digital Certificates) as well as facilitating the alignment of HIT Standards activities across federal agencies and providing technical support for standards implementers.
