To All NITAAC Contract Holders, Federal Customers, and Partners:

As we approach the conclusion of the 2026 Fiscal Year, the NITAAC Contracting Office and Customer Support Center wish to provide a definitive status update regarding our current operational posture, year-end hours. 

Hard Deadlines and Period of Performance Constraints

In alignment with the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) wind-down directives and Executive Order 14240: Eliminating Waste and Saving Taxpayer Dollars by Consolidating Procurement, all users must adhere to the strict operational boundaries currently in place:

• Performance Cutoff: In accordance with the contract modification issue on June 8, 2026, the period of performance for any new order awarded under NITAAC vehicles cannot extend beyond December 31, 2028.
• Pre-Existing Orders: Orders executed prior to June 8, 2026, retain their original period of performance and remain governed by the specific terms and conditions active at the time of their award.
• GSA Transition Pipeline: In compliance with the mandate under Executive Order 14240 to centralize government-wide IT contracts, remaining requirements will be processed by agency origin:
• HHS Orders: All active HHS orders will terminate on December 31, 2028. No extensions beyond this operational cutoff will be permitted.
• Non-HHS Orders: All non-HHS orders with a period of performance beyond December 31, 2028, will be administered by General Services Administration (GSA) for administration after sunset.

The NITAAC Contracting Officer (CO), in conjunction with GSA, will coordinate the future administration and transition of all non-HHS orders directly with the contracting officer of record for your specific order.

Final NITAAC Program Sunset: October 29, 2026

Federal customers are reminded that all NITAAC GWACs—including CIO-SP3, CIO-SP3 Small Business, and CIO-CS, will permanently be sunset on October 29, 2026.
