Lockheed Martin is providing agency-wide IT and infrastructure support services to the CMS under the Consolidated Information Technology Infrastructure Contract (CITIC). CMS provides health insurance for approximately 90 million beneficiaries through Medicare, Medicaid, the State Children's Health Program, and other health care quality assurance programs. CMS has more than 6,000 government employees located in Woodlawn, Md.; Washington D.C.; and 10 regional locations and other satellite offices. Lockheed Martin is partnering with CMS on key CITIC initiatives targeting efficiency of business operations, security and proper protection of assets, and continuity of service. Lockheed Martin operates the agency's main data center located in Woodlawn MD, and their server and desktop platforms nation-wide. Lockheed Martin also manages, operates and maintains all voice, video and data communications networks including all local, wide and value-added networks. A full range of security and privacy services, help desk support, database management, web casting and web hosting, infrastructure management planning and disaster recovery planning and operations are also provided under the scope of the contract.
