For over 10 years STG has supported more than 30 active task orders under NOAA’s National Climatic Data Center Mission Support Services BPA ranging from data analysis and visualization, scientific programming and research, and advanced IT in support of environmental initiatives and public health. STG work with our NOAA customers includes creating the U.S. Drought Portal that provides information about risk and impact of droughts to different government agencies and stakeholders such as the National Institute for Environmental Health Sciences. We have supported the US Climate Change Science Program, including climate data reports--Global Climate Change Impacts in the U.S. report released by the White House in 2009. We developed and transitioned visualization techniques and software for National Weather Service Next Generation Radar (NEXRAD) data used by scientists and analysts. STG provides 24 x7 x 365 system administration and IT security support; maintains and operates digital and physical data archives. STG’s assistance to NCDC’s data modernization efforts includes imaging more than 20 million manuscript records from NCDC’s scientific paper archives. STG personnel safeguard and provide secure access to petabytes of worldwide environmental data.
